TWITALK

BERCAKAP-CAKAP DI TWITALK

Ketika sebuah talk show dikemas dalam 140 karakter, pemanfaatan Twitter tak

peserta,” jelas Pungkas, salah seorang penggagas Twitalk.

Walau interaksi hanya dilakukan pada layar komputer, Panca mengaku grogi tiap kali beraksi. “Saya ingat, waktu pertama kali jadi admin, rasanya tegang banget.
Kalau koneksinya lagi jelek, terpaksa deh minta di-back up dulu,” curhatnya.

Read more of this post

April 29th

Hey, it’s April 29th 2011 already. It’s remembering me of today, on a year ago. April 29th 2010. It’s been a year…

29 of April will always be a special day for me.

It’s when #TWITALK ran the first show. Pungkas was interviewing Triawan Munaf.

But, several hours before #TWITALK was showing, I had a great moment with La Tania Finanda Phillipe Putri.

Okay, here’s the story…

Previous days before 29 of April, I got an invitation from Tania to watch Efek Rumah Kaca at her campus. Efek Rumah Kaca (or we usually call them as ERK) is a pop minimalist band that we both like. I was honored to have that invitation, because Tania only got 2 tickets from the event organizer. And she decided and chose me to accompany her to attend it. I didn’t know the reason why, most likely because we both like the band, perhaps. But the point is, I was flattered and felt honored!

That was cloudy Thursday in the afternoon. I drove my motorcycle to Depok, the small yet crowded city where University of Indonesia is located. “Off to FIB UI Depok. Bismillah…” I tweeted at 3:27 PM that day.

In the middle of the journey -no, not the middle, it was still nearby my house- the rain was pouring down! “Trapped in one of the carpenter workshop at Bintaro. Sacrament album’s accompanying me waiting for the heavy rain with thunder and lightning,” I tweeted again at 4:08 PM that day.

I faced a very bad traffic during my travel. Especially on Tb. Simatupang road. I was really pissed off with the traffic. But I finally arrived at UI At 6:15 PM. The feeling was so happy, even though my pants a little bit got wet. Didn’t mind it, though. Read more of this post

Capture Screen and Save Draft in SocialScope

Yesterday I saw some people in my timeline asking about how to capture screen in SocialScope application. As we know, when we’re running SocialScope, there is no option to capture screen on its menu. So, here’s the trick if you don’t know yet.

  1. For the first step, you have to install an application to your BlackBerry first. One of the famous applications is “Capture It”. If you don’t have it yet, install it right from your BlackBerry. Just click this away —> Download “Capture It”. It’s only 13.1KB. Very small sized yet helpful application.
  2. If you have already installed “Capture It”. Go to BlackBerry “Options”. Choose “Screen/Keyboard” menu.
  3. Set “Left Side Convenience Key Opens” as “Capture It”.

SocialScope Group and Search Features

In previous post, I forgot to write about “SocialScope Group” and “Twitter List” with its shortcut on the letter “A” on your keypad. Well, I begin this post with that shortcut.

  1. You can add people to your personal SocialScope Group. You create this group by yourself and it only can be viewed on your SocialScope application. First things first, navigate pointer on your screen to a person you want to add.
  2. Let’s say, I wanna add @melaniesubono to a SocialScope Group, so I navigate pointer to one of her tweet, press “A” as a shortcut, then choose “SocialScope Group” as shown above. Then I create new group for Melanie Subono.

SocialScope Shortcuts and Mutes

Okay, this is my promise to write another stuff about SocialScope. I’ll write it step-by-step as what I could remember. Maybe I would like to start it from the shortcuts. Here we go!

  1. Compose a new tweet or message by pressing the letter “U” or “C” on your keypad. You can choose which account you want to use. SocialScope enables you to send 1 message for multi-accounts at one time. Just give the check mark to the desired account. It’s easy.
  2. Press the letter “R” or “E” on your keypad to Reply a tweet. And letter “K” to Reply All.
  3. If you are not patient enough to wait new tweets, press “L” to refresh your timeline and stream.
  4. Press “T” to go to the top of timeline, and “B” to go to the bottom of timeline.
  5. Inside the tweet page, you can use letter “N” and “P” on your keypad to read the next and previous tweets. Read more of this post

My SocialScope Settings

It was Saturday morning on 19th of February when Twitter suddenly suspended some third-party applications without giving any notification or warning to their user. UberTwitter as the most famous Twitter client in Indonesia was also suspended as they got policy issue against Twitter.com.

Many people in my timeline panicked about this incident, especially them who use UberTwitter and don’t like Twitter for BlackBerry. In the middle of this panic moment, SocialScope as the most exclusive application shared the invitation codes easily to interested and registered people. Well, that was the most shocking thing for the existing SocialScope users, especially people who had already been waiting the invitation code for such long time. Phew…

Not all the UberTwitter immigrants felt comfy with SocialScope. Some of them complained on timeline and threw some questions about this new application thingy. So that’s why I try to share you my SocialScope settings. Give it a check: Read more of this post
